General Characteristics and Purpose
Continuously identifies improvement opportunities and optimizes production processes, installations and/or equipment related to the own area of expertise, in accordance with HSE and operations guidelines, site infrastructure, regulatory requirements, and year plan/budget, in order to maximize the reliability, quality, safety, sustainability, and efficiency of production processes at the optimum level of costs.

Representative Activities

• Analyzes and optimizes parameters to improve the level of process control and ensure compliance with the technical requirements/certificates.
• Analyzes and identifies (potential) defects/damages/bottlenecks and potential opportunities for improvements in installations/equipment/(work) processes/procedures.
• Creates sustained business improvement results through the application of Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, and/or other improvement methodologies.
• Translates regulatory/product requirements into standard ways of working, standards, and procedures; applies existing engineering standards, monitors compliance in own site/unit, and if necessary takes measures.
• Works closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering/Maintenance to deliver improved results in safety, quality, cost, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensures compliance with safety policies during all activities, in line with corporate & plant policies, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines established by governing authorities.

Has deep process engineering expertise in 3-4 processes

Seasoned continuous improvement Practitioner (Operational Excellence, World Class Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban; e.g. green belt)
