Long Description

Within the international Project Management Organization (PMO), you are assigned to manage various customer projects and internal projects (e.g. CAPEX or operational improvement)

Ideal Candidate:
• MS in engineering (Mechanical engineering experience is an advantage)
• Technically well-grounded and have a hands-on mentality for Continuous Improvement & Sustainment,
• Proven experience in project management is an advantage, or motivated to develop project management skills,
• Customer oriented Project Management skills/experience. Preferred knowledge of the PMBOK® Guide (6th edition) or PMP® certified,
• Utilizes critical thinking/problem solving skills whilst being a strong multi-tasker & stress-resistant,
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
• Good understanding in use of Microsoft’s Suite of Apps, incl MS Project,
• Excellent English skills (verbal & written) to communicate within international company & with customers
• Able to travel internationally and regionally approx. 10% of your time normally, with peaks of up to 50% in busy periods.

Job description:
• Define the project detail scope & needs together with the internal or external customer;
• Develop project planning in cooperation with the involved departments;
• You are responsible for the execution of the complete project according to the agreed plan, while respecting the budget & specification;
• You coordinate and communicate clearly what needs to be done with the (multi-functional) project team (Status report, forecast report and progress reporting);
• You actively look to solve problems as they arise and you identify potential issues or risks in order to prevent them;
• Problems that cannot be solved within reasonable time are escalated to the responsible manager;
• You prepare regular status report presentations;
• You report directly to the Head of PMO;
• Proven track record to work in multi-functional teams, networking, coaching and mentoring effectively with others to achieve desired goals;
• Consistent track record to work well in ambiguous scenarios, defining and driving desired success;
• Able to prosper in a fast-paced environment that fosters change, creativity and flexibility;
• Self-driven, eager to contribute, develop, learn and grow;
• To work with commercial teams to respond to RFI, RFQ and RFP documents; to support the creation of proposals by sales, including work breakdown structure and statement of work, with a high focus on service requirements and implementation;
• To manage, steer & lead project implementations and assure synchronization between plan and reality regarding the triple constraints;
• To coordinate resource planning and deliverables, ensuring that customer commitments are met;
• To oversee the successful transition of the project from sales into execution, through the project lifecycle, and then from execution to after care, to ensure continuous provision of a high level of care to the customer;
• You lead, develop and organize your project team effectively (including measurements) and you can motivate the project team members and support them as needed.
