Schedule: Monday – Friday, weekends as needed

Location: Madison Heights, MI 

Job Summary:

The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance team responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment in an industrial setting. This role includes managing daily maintenance activities, ensuring that equipment is operating efficiently, and minimizing downtime. The supervisor schedules and coordinates preventive maintenance tasks, responds to emergency repairs, and ensures all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and regulations. Additionally, the role involves training and mentoring maintenance staff, managing budgets, ordering parts and supplies, and collaborating with other departments to support production goals. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Assist with general building and grounds maintenance responsibilities
  • Assist with parts inventory and/or running parts as needed
  • Insuring shop supplies are maintained at appropriate levels, and placing orders when necessary
  • Assist with keeping the shop in top shape, including cleanliness, in order and running in an efficient manner
  • Additional job duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of electrical experience required.
  • Formal Electrical training with experience working with Voltage, 480 Volts
  • Knowledge of Tools and General Maintenance skills
  • Microsoft office experience
  • Able to lead and train from experience, provide feedback to management.
  • Understanding of pluming required.
  • Must have knowledge of tools and general maintenance skills.
  • Advanced in reading electrical schematics, PLC knowledge

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for prolonged period, walk, push, pull, kneel, crouch, crawl.
  • Good manual dexterity and a steady hand.
  • Able to complete physically demanding work.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds
  • Work area may be hot/cold
