SAP Specialist OTC / EDI

Purpose of the Job

This role ensures a reliable, standardized and well-documented execution of the Order-to-Cash process within SAP S/4HANA — from quotation to final order, demand and order management, delivery/invoicing, and complaints and returns handling. It supports BMT’s SAP RISE strategy by translating business requirements into robust S/4HANA Sales & Distribution solutions, fully integrated with MM and EWM.

External SAP implementation consultants
EDI partners (incoming and outgoing messages)

Functional Requirements

Education: Master or equivalent through experience

Years of Experience: Minimum 4 years in a similar position; experience with SAP S/4HANA using FIORI is a strong plus.

Specific Knowledge:

Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Sales & Distribution (SD) and integration with MM and EWM
Proven track record covering FIT-GAP sessions, functional specification, customizing in S/4, unit/functional/integration testing, business handover and training, UAT support, deployment/cutover/data migration, and hypercare support, including EDI (incoming and outgoing)
Experience working in an international, multi-site environment with distributed teams and cross-border business users (e.g. collaborating with colleagues in India, supporting users across multiple countries) is a strong plus.

Responsibilities and Result Areas

Solution Design & Configuration
Translate business requirements into SAP S/4HANA functionality.
Perform or coordinate the required setup in S/4HANA, including with external consultants, to meet business requirements.
Business Enablement & Support
Properly train and conduct business handovers.
Support the business in resolving IT tickets (system defects/service requests).

Quality & Documentation

Prepare solution documentation supported by proven quality assurance testing.
Integrated Delivery & Continuous Improvement
Work with other SAP specialists to ensure integrated, end-to-end solution delivery including cutover/data migration.
Help improve the SAP S/4HANA solution through improvements to both internal IT support work and business processes; keep up to date via internal and external training.

End-to-end Order-to-Cash process in SAP S/4HANA: quotation to final order, demand management, order management and delivery/invoicing, and complaints and return management — in close collaboration with other SAP specialists (MM, EWM) and external implementation partners, supporting business users across BMT’s international footprint of 13 countries.
