Local IT Manager

Profile:
•    Field of Education is in IT;
•    Experience > 5 years in IT;
•    You are familiar with General IT (hardware, Windows OS), basics of networking communication principles, administration of MS Windows Server, VMWare virtualization technologies;
•    Good communication skills, team player, responsible person, consistent and proactive attitude;
•    Problem solving and incidents investigation skills;
•    English language for written and spoken communication.

The main duties are as following:

•    Maintains the IT infrastructure assets inventory of BMT Aerospace Romania ensuring that all items are recorded/updated/removed when required;
•    Administers (configure, upgrade and perform other related management tasks) Windows Servers infrastructure in BMT Aerospace Romania site;
•    Administers and maintains BMT Aerospace Romania servers, storages and other appliances (regular health check, updates, configuration changes etc.);
•    Supervises hardware and infrastructure application settings, maintains IT infrastructure related documentation;
•    Resolves tickets, tasks, change and service requests assigned in helpdesk application (ServiceDesk Plus);
•    Regularly communicates with colleagues from assigned competence teams, follow-up the instructions and principles defined inside these teams;
•    Always looks for problem root cause, be proactive;
•    Keeps the working environment clean and neat;
•    Provides IT activities reports on request of local plant management.

The main responsibilities:
•    Proposes updates of IT infrastructure principles and policies;
•    Maintains the servers and other assigned infrastructure devices to be always up-to-date (firmware and security patterns);
•    Makes sure that the IT equipment is used effectively and in efficient manner;
•    Makes sure that the IT resources (mainly software and user licenses) are not misused (or violating licensing permissions);
•    Helps with preparation of plant IT budget;
•    Determines ICT requirements within the organization and translates these into specific service, change requests or projects;
•    Connects local plant with BMT group IT organization.
