Junior Account Manager

VCST is looking for a no nonsense, Junior Account Manager, eager to contribute and roll out the determined sales strategies within the assigned customers. With a strong emphasis on endorsing customer intimacy as a pathway to build sustainable relationships, the main task is to enhance the value proposition of VCST.

Our customers include both Light Vehicle and Medium Heavy Duty (truck) global OE’s or Tier 1’s. The Junior Account Manager will report to the Sales Manager, and be supported by a sales engineering back-office organization. The position is based in Sint-Truiden.

What will you be doing?

• Identify and build sustainable relationships with current and potential clients, understanding their needs and challenges, to offer tailored solutions and focus on customer intimacy.
• Managing the typical OE/Tier 1 requirements on a day to day basis.
• Execute direct sales strategies, initiating contacts, and closing deals to drive revenue growth.
• Work closely with the organization to align and execute.

What do we expect from you?

• You have had a first sales or account management experience with automotive OEM’s. • A first exposure towards managing global accounts
• You have a proven commercial track record with a minimum of 3 years of activity. 
• Strong communication skills. Both diplomatic and to the point.
• Flexible and stress resilient.
• Minimum a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar by experience.
• You are fluent in English, as this is our main business language, other languages are considered an asset.
• Traveling 30% max
