Application Expert SAP SuccessFactors

The Expert SAP SF  supports the BMT Group in the solution management of a single HR-IS application SAP SuccessFactors, covering both the internal and external (supplier facing) activities required for a successful management and development. Applying best practices, country specific knowledge, and technical know-how you will ensure that the solution fits the BMT Group’s requirements and specifications.
The role ensures that all initiatives relating to SAP SF deliver the right quality of deliverables. The role also takes care that scoping, due diligence, solution design, estimating and SoW creation and review for all projects to ensure the full scope of an implementation is known and documented.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Solution Management
  • Prepare/Lead/Support the SAP SF governance board, that defines further improvement or extension initiatives, ensuring that all decisions are accurately captured and recorded.
  • Define and document the overall configuration of the SuccessFactors module(s), making the correct balance between business, technical and functional requirements and constraints, as well as the compatibility with different solution components.
  • Understand the global BMT solution landscape, propose potential further integration and be part of the IT resources working on interfacing, SSO, ..
  • Ensure successful transition to the maintenance process of the solution
  • Follow-up delivery to ensure it is on time and within budget
  • Deliver presentations internally and externally and organize trainings/workshops to engage with stakeholders and as part of the maintenance process
  • Pro-actively communicate and report risks and status to the lead of the Backend Solutions competence center

 

  •  Reporting and Analytics
  • Align with HR BI / SF Analytics implementation projects as the main IT contact and support resources working on the delivery
  • Prepare HR reporting implementation projects within HR process owners and IT team members

 

  • Data maintenance
  • Organize and support the periodic mass data updates
  • Ensure the HR resources fulfil their responsibilities in term of data management, in particular with their data cleansing and data transformation
  • Be familiar with data security procedures and requirements of BMT Group and ensure that these are respected as part of the process
  • Pro-actively anticipate project data issues and identify gaps in data that require addressing
  • Obtain sign off on data mass update deliverables from key stakeholders
  • Track activities in the local data maintenance tasks and respect timelines

 

  •  Support
  • Act as 2nd line support as subject matter expert (sometimes also 1st line, or 3rd line)
  • Escalate solution problems to other internal teams or external SAP SF experts
  • Support in daily ad-hoc tasks and administrative routines such as processing data requests, ensuring and following up on integration issues, and problem solving

 

  • Test Activities
  • Concerning software upgrades, support or carry out testing based on agreed and pre-defined test plans
  • Facilitate resolution of issues and queries raised during the testing process liaising as required with relevant stakeholders, partners and internal teams
  • Provide highest level of quality assurance, ensuring that agreed deliverables are produced according to established procedures and standards

 

  • HR Community Relationship Management
  • Manage HR community relationship within projects and expectations effectively 
  • Expend existing relationships by identifying opportunities for improvements and extensions

 

 

Accountability

  • Delivering consistent solutions for NGA clients within the boundaries of the standards defined by NGA and the capabilities of the SuccessFactors modules
  • Driving the HR community to adhere to the standard SuccessFactors product capabilities
  • Finding workarounds where gaps exist between requirements standard solutions and processes
  • Documenting these gaps and their proposed resolution 
  • Following up on the solution set up, testing, and data updates
  • Keeping abreast of current BMT Group solutions, SuccessFactors modules, Analytics and Reporting products and their future road map to ensure that knowledge required to stay current is gained.

 

Experience and Skills

  • Preferably previous experience with the SAP SuccessFactors application, or other HR applications.
  • Proven background from IT, preferably working with Cloud solutions, at least as an Administrator/ Superuser role including configuration.
  • Good understanding of Reporting and Analytics tools, preferably experience in HR BI
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or equivalent education.
  • Experience from similar role is considered as a merit.
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • HR business process experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional ability to gather and interpret data, as well as improve HRIS processes.
  • Ability to collaborate, provide technical support, and train staff.
  • Extensive experience in analyzing HRIS and HR performance metrics.
  • Experience in documenting processes, as well as performing diagnostic tests and audits.
  • Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in HRIS Analysis.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
