Interview with Antoine Hauw on his Internship at VCST

Read and discover first hand how interns experience their time at Minerva, the department within VCST that is focused fully on electrification.

Q1: Can you introduce yourself?
A: Hello, I'm Antoine Hauw, 22 years old, and I'm from the region of Paris. Currently, I'm a student at Estaca engineering school.

Q2: Why did you choose to do the internship in VCST?
A: I had to do an internship abroad, and I found VCST's internship offer appealing. The mission proposal, especially the opportunity to work on the test rig, caught my interest. The international aspect of the Minerva team also appealed to me, as I wanted to learn from multiple perspectives. The evolving automotive sector was interesting to me, and I wanted to be a part of this new development.

Q3: Can you explain your day to me?
A: I work on the test rig, specifically on software for a database server and the test rig itself to ensure smooth operations. Testing is also a significant part of my internship.

Q4: Is VCST/Minerva the kind of company/environment that you would like to work in?
A: Yes, I prefer working in a smaller team. It provides more freedom to tackle new things and take initiatives. Collaborating in a small team is flexible, ensuring everyone stays in the same mindset. This way of working exposes you to different topics and tasks.

Q5: What is important for you to stay motivated in a job?
A: Seeing the result of my work is crucial. I want to work toward a specific goal and witness the impact of my work on that goal.

Q6: Would you recommend this internship to other students?
A: Absolutely. Here, you have a supportive team, and you feel welcome and guided, easing the initial stress of something new. Additionally, you are given a lot of responsibilities, which is excellent for developing experience and learning new things. I would definitely recommend it.
