General Characteristics and purpose
Conducts financial analysis and processes, analyses and reports financial data, provides business with accurate information concerning financial performance of the organization and manages the financial controlling processes and resources, for the assigned operating unit/ department/ team, within the financial and corporate guidelines and policies, in order to advice and support management with the realization of its objectives in terms of efficiency, cost control and profitability.

 

Representative Activities

  • Prepares financial analysis, reports, and budget forecasts, assists in the company’s monthly and yearly closing. Reviews financial data periodically to ensure fairness and completeness of the data.
  • Contributes to the design and management of the budget/ control process and to the development of the year plan/budget and/or strategy for the operating unit/department/team. And ensures the development, implementation and use of an effective system for financial-economical planning and control.
  • Prevents inaccuracies in financial statements by setting up internal control systems and adopting proper policies for financial reporting.  
  • Selects, develops, and assesses the suitability of controlling standards, processes, formats, and frequency of financial controlling and information collection, collation, and reporting for senior management. Responds to management queries in relation to the financial control environment.
  • Validates and provides insight into the reasons for gaps between achievements and budget forecasts. 
  • Recommends corrective measures.

Has overview of processes and relevant rules, regulations and laws, directly linked to the own discipline, and is able to translate/ develop these to standards and procedures

Extends boundaries of current structures and finds new ways to realize cost savings and improve
organizational budget structure to match business needs
