2nd Shift is Monday - Friday from 5:30 pm - 6:00 am; weekend availability needed

Position Summary:

The Quality Inspector identify products that don’t meet quality standards. The role of a Quality Inspector is to use their observational skills to notice when a material, product part or finished product differs from the blueprints. The Quality Inspector quickly and efficiently assesses incoming products at their assigned stage of production.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review manufacturing routers to assure job completion
  • Request/Build gaging instruments
  • Perform final dimensional/visual inspection Perform first article “Layout” inspection
  • Process job close out Manufacturing/Engineering, Interface/Interact
  • Generate & process nonconforming materials reports
  • Other duties applied.

Qualifications:

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 2-5 years’ experience in aerospace or automotive receiving / inspection is desirable
  • Attention to detail
  • Technical skills and ability to understand blueprints, documents and manuals
  • Able to use micrometers and height gage
  • Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to influence others to follow rules and regulations
  • Strong leadership skills and teamwork mentality
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Dexterity, physical strength and physical stamina

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
