Purpose of the Role
The Key Account & Pricing Analyst is a commercially minded, analytically strong role that combines direct ownership of customer accounts within BMT with broader pricing and profitability support for the remaining account portfolio. The position leads pricing preparation and governance (business cases, scenarios, approvals) and owns key profitability analyses (post-calculation, margin bridges, cost-driver insight). The role ensures accuracy and transparency of commercial data, proactively identifies margin risks and opportunities, and translates complex datasets into clear recommendations that enable effective negotiations and profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities
1. Post‑Calculation & Profitability Support (Primary Focus at Start)
•    Lead robust post-calculation analyses, comparing actual production costs versus quoted assumptions and quantifying drivers of variance.
•    Build margin bridges and profitability dashboards; provide recommendations to improve pricing, product mix, and commercial terms.
•    Validate and challenge cost inputs (machine hours, OSP, material consumption, routings, setup times) and improve the reliability of costing data with Operations/Finance.
•    Present concise insights to senior stakeholders, highlighting margin gaps, root causes, and prioritized improvement actions.
2. Account Ownership
•    Act as the commercial owner for BMT customer accounts, maintaining the relationship with the customer through regular touchpoints and coordinating day-to-day topics to ensure timely customer communication.
•    Drive account planning and performance tracking (sales, margin, backlog, claims/credits), maintaining a clear risk and opportunity log.
•    Lead preparation of customer reviews (e.g., QBRs) and internal account reviews, turning data into a clear narrative and decision points.
•    Coordinate RFQs/engineering changes for the account with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance, ensuring timely closure and alignment on assumptions.
3. Pricing Preparation & Commercial Data (Core Focus)
•    Develop pricing proposals and commercial scenarios (cost changes, volume ramps, mix shifts), translating analysis into clear recommendations.
•    Own pricing simulations and business cases, including sensitivity analysis and margin impact.
•    Maintain and improve pricing models, indexation/escalator logic, and version-controlled commercial documentation.
•    Drive the internal pricing governance process, ensuring completeness of assumptions, approvals, and auditability of final offers.
4. Demand, Orderbook & Forecast Support (for Assigned Account(s))
•    Own demand consolidation for assigned accounts, validating customer inputs and ensuring alignment with internal planning assumptions.
•    Lead backlog and delivery performance reviews at part-number level; identify risks/opportunities and coordinate mitigation plans with Supply Chain and Operations.
•    Prepare and communicate forecast scenarios to Planning/MPS teams, including assumptions, constraints, and key variances versus prior outlook.
5. Account Coordination & Documentation
•    Own account commercial trackers (pricing, profitability, claims, tooling, contract changes) and ensure data integrity across systems.
•    Create executive-ready materials for customer meetings, and internal reviews (KPI packs, profitability narratives, risk/opportunity logs).
•    Support escalations and negotiations with structured data packs (pricing logic, cost evidence, sensitivity cases) and clear decision options.
