Purpose of the Role
The (Junior) Key Account & Pricing Support provides analytical, commercial, and administrative support to the Key Account Management team, with a strong initial focus on post‑calculation, pricing preparation, and data accuracy. Over time, the junior role evolves step‑by‑step into managing own customer accounts independently, once the required commercial, technical, and financial competencies are acquired.
Key Responsibilities
1. Post‑Calculation & Profitability Support (Primary Focus at Start)
• Perform accurate post‑calculations to compare actual production costs versus quoted assumptions.
• Identify cost deviations and support senior KAMs in margin analysis.
• Track machine hours, OSP, material consumption, and setup times to maintain reliable cost data.
• Provide clear summaries of margin gaps and improvement opportunities.
2. Pricing Preparation & Commercial Data
• Prepare cost and pricing inputs for quotations and customer updates.
• Build initial pricing simulations under guidance from Pricing and senior KAMs.
• Maintain historical pricing files, escalator logic, and commercial documentation.
• Ensure data completeness and reliability before internal approval rounds.
3. Demand, Orderbook & Forecast Support
• Consolidate demand inputs from customers and ensure proper translation into internal templates.
• Support backlog reviews, part‑number level delivery tracking, and risk identification.
• Assist in preparing demand inputs for Planning/MPS teams.
4. Account Coordination & Documentation
• Maintain account files, price lists, contract revisions, and commercial trackers.
• Prepare materials for QBRs, internal reviews, and customer meetings.
• Support senior KAMs during escalations by providing structured data packages.
5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration (Support Role)
• Interface with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to collect missing data.
• Follow up with internal stakeholders to complete pricing or costing packages.
• Provide administrative commercial support where needed.
Qualifications & Experience
• Master’s degree in business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong motivation to develop customer intimacy: understanding customer expectations and commercial behaviour.
• Motivation to develop strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Interest in pricing, costing, and post‑calculation activities.
