General Characteristics and purpose
Manages IT-based operations and services to meet IT requirements supporting short and long-term business needs.
 

Representative Activities

• Ensures the development and maintenance of business application systems are successfully integrated and operated within the company’s business environment.
• Oversees the implementation of an assigned technology as well as the integration and performance of all local area networks for the organization.
• Manages, motivates and assesses performance of a team of IT professionals. 
• Defines and implements IT initiatives within existing guidelines and frameworks.
• Coordinates technical support and communications for IT related tools, hardware, software, systems and networks.
• Defines and manages the IT budgets. 
• Connects with external partners for the purchase or optimization of hardware, software or other IT related elements. 
• Ensures the development and maintenance of ICT systems, infrastructure, applications, software and hardware. 
• Ensures adequate user support and manages internal client requests. 
• Determines ICT requirements within the organization and translates these into specific projects.
